Should visitors require an invitation letter to attend to the workshop, kindly note that this can be requested directly from the online registration form.

Visa Requirements

Citizens of the following EUMEDCONNECT partner countries will require a Visa for entry to Malta:

Algeria
Egypt
Jordan
Lebanon
Morocco
Palestine
Syria
Tunisia
Turkey

Citizens from other countries may also require a visa. Refer to full list of countries not requiring a visa to enter Malta.

Nationals from Tunisia and Egypt can apply and pay for the visa directly from the Maltese Embassies in their respective country. The visa will be issued directly from there.


Visa Application Procedure (for Turkey and Syria as well as any other country having a Maltese consulate)

  • Turkish and Syrian visitors both have Maltese Consulates in their countries. They can choose to go directly to the consulates in their respective country and fill in the visa application form.
  • The consulates will fax all the required information to Malta.

  • Since the visa will be issued from Malta, visitors are required to follow steps 3 and 4 of the procedure shown below in order be granted entry to Malta.

Should Turkish and Syrian visitors prefer they can follow the procedure outlined below and send all the necessary documents to Malta and the issuing of the approval for the visa will be taken care of directly by the Maltese organisers.

  1. Please fill in this visa application form (PDF) and together with a copy of your passport, fax or scan and e-mail both to:

  2. You will then receive a letter of approval sent by the Maltese Immigration Office granting permission for entry to Malta.
  3. Once arrived in Malta you will have to present:
    • Received letter of approval (from Maltese Immigration Office)
    • Your passport
    • Two passport size photographs
  4. The Visa Fee is to be paid at the Malta International Airport upon arrival. Visa fees can range from USD13 to USD27 depending on the visitors’ country of origin.
