Workshop Information


Workshop Pre-requisites

Prior to attending the workshop, the attendees are required to follow the 6DISS E-learning Package which consists of information and educational material on IPv6. This package should take approximately 2 hours in all to complete and it is an essential preparation for the material which will be covered throughout the workshop.


Workshop Logistics

The workshop will be held at the Radisson SAS Golden Sands Resort & Spa, Golden Bay, l/o Mellieha, Malta.

The workshop dates are as follows:

Tuesday 4th April 2006
Wednesday 5th April 2006
Thursday 6th April 2006

Workshops are expected to start at 09:00 and finish at 18:00 throughout the three days.

The following is a draft list of topics that will be covered.

Day 1 - 04/04/06  Enabling IPv6
Day 2 - 05/04/06  Routing and Security
Day 3 - 06/04/06  IPv6 Management

The topics will include practical hands-on sessions, along with access to a remote testbed for more complex configurations.

Funding

Each EUMEDCONNECT Partner is guaranteed two places on the workshop provided that registrations are made by not later than 9th March 2006. Any additional registrations will be added to a waiting list and will be confirmed subject to availability after the above-mentioned date.

The workshop registration costs (excluding travel and accommodation) will be covered directly by the 6DISS project.

Attendees may claim reimbursement of 80% of the costs of travel to/from the workshop as well as 80% of up to 4 per diems in line with EUMEDCONNECT reimbursement procedures. These include attaching original boarding pass stubs and proof of the cost of the flight ticket when claiming. The per diem for Malta is currently 175 euro per night.
