Co-funder of the Norwegian Research Center for Computers and Law, first as a sub-department of the Department of Private Law, in 1981 an independent department of the Faculty of Law. From the beginning acting as director of the Center, succeeding as chair 1989.
1988 Professor in computers and law (chair created by Parliament the same year)
